Fiebing’s Suede and Roughout Dye is necessary for properly dyeing napped, non-smooth leather. Dyes, brightens and restores suede and roughout shoes, clothes and more. To dye regular, smooth leather products, use Fiebing’s Leather Dye. Comes in a 4 oz bottle with a wool dauber included.

Prepare suede or roughout article by brushing with suede brush to remove dirt and roughen shiny spots. Apply dye evenly over entire area. When dry, brush again to remove excess dye and to raise the nap.

Generally, despite the product offering on our own website, I advise not to dye suede unless you have to. But, if you are committed to it, I encourage using the dye on a sample or inconspicuous area and testing it for yourself.
