What is Cognac Apache Bison leather?
A distressed, bison leather in medium brown. Maintains a waxy finish with rich, pull up undertones. At 5 to 6 ounces thick (5/64″ – 3/32″) and soft to medium in temper, these sides are perfect for bags, packs, straps, shoes and more. Available in cut pieces.

What is the approximate thickness of this hide
Hey Preston, our Apache sides are about 5/32″ or so, which would mean it would be 5 oz weight, or thickness.

Hi, are these chrome or veg tanned hides?
Hey Austin, that is correct. Our Apache bison line is chrome tanned. We have a section dedicated to veg tan leathers, and otherwise all of our other leathers are chrome tanned.

Hey Bobby, the sides come from US bison, but the leather is tanned in Mexico.

Have used this product for years , varies a bit depending on what tannery they are buying from ! Biggest problem has been consistent supply!
