What is whiskey Utta?
A shrunken bison leather side with light brown undertones. Measures 7-8 ounces (7/64″ – 1/8″) in thickness. Excellent for making a nice pair of boots, bags, belts & a variety of other projects. Also available in cut pieces of 3 square feet and 6 square feet.

Would I be able to get this in a smaller piece? That is about the best looking piece of leather that Ive seen in a while. I would like to get 5 or 6 feet of this.

How thick is this leather?

Hello, Tsukasa! Utta bison is 7-8 ounces thick, and is a chrome tanned leather. Shipping to Japan is available, however bison is a regulated animal in the US, so there is an additional $93 fee for shipping outside of the US. Shipping costs depend on the quantities and sizes of leather you order, but as a rough ballpark guess for a single side, shipping to Japan would be about $90 to $120 most likely.

Can this be shipped internationally? Specifically to the Philippines.
Hello Anton! Yes it can, however bison is a regulated animal here in the US, and there is a fee of $93 with Fish & Wildlife to ship bison, deer, elk and other non-cow leathers internationally.

Hello! Most of our bison is raised in the US, but not tanned in the US.

Would this be good leather for a holster?
Hello Jonathan! You have a good choice of leather and thickness. Generally speaking, people recommend using veg tan leather (like Hermann Oak) instead of chrome tan leather like this Utta bison, due to corrosion issues. However, if you line your holster with veg tan leather, it will not matter what is on the outside.

as soon as I reviewed the photo and checked the weight, I had to have it. Not easy because sometimes when ordering online without feeling and seeing all details on the hide, you take a chance. At first unpacking, it looked a little more reddish, but after a light brown polish, it became a perfect brown. The weight was just right and very workable. I must say the price was reasonable, too. Shipping pricey from everywhere though. I plan to be a returning customer, Thanks MLC !
