What is Fiebing’s Resolene?
Fiebing’s Resolene is a protective acrylic finish for leather. A flexible and water-resistant coating for dyed, antiqued or polished leathers. Additionally, resolene provides a buffered shine that adds a professional quality look to leather craft projects.
How do I use it?
First of all, make sure leather is clean and dry. Apply thin coat in one-directional strokes to prevent tacky build up. Do not allow to freeze as this will ruin the product.

Hey Angi, yes you can. Just make sure to rinse and clean as you normally would.

If Fiebing’s Resolene is applied to leather car seats, will it remain intact even if the car is left in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods? Or will it be ruined if frozen even after being applied? Thanks
Hey Ryan! While Resolene would work without fear of freezing issues after it has dried, I don’t think I would use it on car upholstery. If you are aiming to put a waterproof coating on your leather seats, I would just use a conditioner like our Blackrock, Mink Oil Paste or Skidmore’s.
